Workshop leaders Anne Radford was one of the first people to work with Appreciative Inquiry in this country. She uses this, and other strength-based approaches to change, with business, government and community groups. She coaches managers and consultants in their use of these approaches and is the editor of AI Practitioner, the international online publication of AI best practice. Julian Rizzello, a Chartered Psychologist, works at the National School of Government. He has created and delivered a range of programmes for public and private managers on strategic planning, leadership, change and crisis management. His competences include psychometric tests and Appreciative Inquiry.More About Julian Rizzello
Julian is a Principal Development Consultant in the National School of Government, a Chartered Psychologist and a Principal member of the Association of Business Psychologists. He is also an associate teacher at the London Business School, where he has contributed to MBA and Executive programmes and developed workshops in commercial and cross-cultural negotiations.
During nearly 30 years' research and teaching experience in university, business school and public sector settings, he has designed, directed and delivered programmes on personal effectiveness, team building, strategic planning, leadership, consultancy, change and crisis management. He is especially interested in creating scenarios and simulations in the areas of negotiation, strategy, leadership and crisis management.
In addition to his UK work, Julian has produced programmes for top civil servants from Poland and Bangladesh and has delivered similar programmes at this level in Hungary and Bermuda. He has worked with public sector students from France and private sector clients in Denmark. He has run workshops using psychological instruments on top management programmes for the reformed South African Civil Service and has led similar workshops on programmes for visitors from China and Korea. This year he was a lead contributor to the design of an assessment centre for high flyers in Dubai.
He holds Master accreditations in the Margerison-McCann Team Management Systems (TMP, TWP, LSP and TPP) and the QO2 (Opportunities-Obstacles Quotient) and has run several accreditation centres for these instruments. He is highly experienced in using psychometrics such as Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Firo-B in one-to-one coaching and with groups. He uses Appreciative Inquiry in personal, teaching, and organisation development settings.
More About Anne Radford
As a consultant, Anne Radford works with businesses, healthcare and communities on organisational issues such as integrating teams and delivering business results through partnerships. As a coach, she works with managers and leaders on individual, team and organisational performance.
Before returning to this country, she did postgraduate work in the United States and had a one year placement in Washington DC. She has held senior management positions in an international distribution company and City law firms.
Anne works extensively with strength-based approaches to change including Appreciative Inquiry which discover best practice in an organisation, build a vision of the future based on the best of the past and develop options to deliver that future.
She runs training workshops and coaching sessions for managers and consultants who want to use strength-based approaches to change.
